Kettlebell Floor Press

A chest press with a kettlebell. Floor-limited range reduces shoulder stress and works well at home.

How to perform

  1. 1.Lie on the floor, kettlebell at the chest, elbow tucked
  2. 2.Press up to full extension without lifting the shoulder off the floor
  3. 3.Lower under control, brief pause at the floor

Common mistakes

  • Elbow flaring too wide
  • Jerking the kettlebell off the floor

Tips

  • Two kettlebells? Alternate arms or press both if you have a pair

Limitations

Use caution with issues in: shoulders. If you feel discomfort, reduce the range of motion or swap the exercise — ideally after consulting a coach.
