Walking Lunge

A unilateral exercise that builds leg strength and balance at the same time.

How to perform

  1. 1.Take a long step forward, rear knee lowering almost to the floor
  2. 2.Front knee stays roughly over the foot, not far past the toes
  3. 3.Torso remains upright throughout

Common mistakes

  • Steps too short, overloading the front knee

Tips

  • Start with bodyweight only to groove balance and step length

Limitations

Use caution with issues in: knees. If you feel discomfort, reduce the range of motion or swap the exercise — ideally after consulting a coach.
