Suitcase Carry

The single-arm farmer's carry. Weight on one side forces the obliques to hold the torso upright — anti-lateral core stability in its purest form.

CoreGripObliquesKettlebellDumbbells

How to perform

  1. 1.Heavy kettlebell or dumbbell in one hand
  2. 2.Walk perfectly upright — from the side no one should be able to tell which hand holds the weight
  3. 3.Shoulders level, steps even
  4. 4.Equal time or distance per arm

Common mistakes

  • Leaning away from the weight
  • The loaded shoulder creeping upward

Tips

  • Start with 50-60% of your two-hand farmer's carry weight
