BackBicepsRear deltsKettlebell
How to perform
- 1.Hinge forward, free hand braced on a bench or knee
- 2.Row the bell to the waist, elbow tracking along the body
- 3.Drive the shoulder blade back at the top
- 4.Lower under control with no torso rotation
Common mistakes
- Rotating the torso to help the weight up
- Rowing to the chest instead of the waist — the back stops working
Tips
- The single-arm format is great for evening out strength imbalances between sides
Limitations
Use caution with issues in: lower back. If you feel discomfort, reduce the range of motion or swap the exercise — ideally after consulting a coach.
