Barbell Hip Thrust

One of the most effective exercises for directly targeting the glutes.

How to perform

  1. 1.Upper back braced against a bench, bar across the hips
  2. 2.Drive the hips up to full extension, chin slightly tucked
  3. 3.Pause and squeeze the glutes at the top

Common mistakes

  • Hyperextending the lower back instead of extending the hips
  • Partial range of motion
